We had Google Translate ready to go, but United did the dirty work for us.
Memphis Depay will seal his move to Manchester United in the coming days, once he passes a medical. The Dutch midfielder will sign with Louis van Gaal's side for a fee in the region of £25m.
Liverpool appeared favourites to secure his signature but van Gaal is said to have personally intervened to get Depay to chose the 20-time league champions.
PSV Eindhoven interviewed their departing player and discovered the Premier League switch was a "dream" come true [Interview is in Dutch but we have the translation below].
Courtesy of United, here is what the Eredivise top scorer had to say.
So, it’s confirmed there is an agreement with PSV and Manchester United…
It's fantastic! A dream come true. It's a very big step to a very big competition.
You received applause and good wishes from your team-mates in training. Did that make you feel happy?
Yes, it did. When all the players come to you and wish you good luck, that says it all about this last season.
Was it easier for you to choose a club where you know the coach, Louis van Gaal?
Yes, that feeling was good, I know the trainer very well. We have a good relationship. It was a little difficult with all the speculation about my future, but now I've chosen to sign for Manchester United and my dream came true. It shows that I've grown up as a player.
There are just two games left with PSV. Will those games feel special?
Yes, they will. I passed through PSV’s youth system, I’ve been here since I was 12. I worked hard for it. I encountered many difficulties to reach this point: blood, sweat and tears, ups and downs. But it all resulted in something beautiful. I've grown up as a player and a person. So it will be very emotional for me in these last two matches.
It was your own choice to stay at PSV last season and you gave everything to win the league title with the club...
Last year was great for me. Third place at the World Cup with the Dutch national team and finally the league title with PSV. It was great. Maybe we can break a record with the team and maybe I can be the [league's] top scorer. I will give everything in my last two games for PSV and I will enjoy it.
