Luis Suarez was back to his old self tonight as he led from the front for Uruguay but, despite his best efforts, Costa Rica prevailed on penalties in the international friendly.
The Barcelona forward struck early in the second half with a fine finish to drag his country from behind and, despite Cavani and Gimenez joining in to put Uruguay in front, a dogged Costa Rica equalised in injury time through Venegas.
It was an eventful night for Suarez though - imagine.
First up, he scored this equaliser with a fantastic finish.
Then, he had his jersey torn by a trailing defender he had skinned and, for what? For Cavani to turn around and miss hideously from six yards.
