Where have you been all my life?

That is surely what Louis van Gaal was thinking after 18-year-old striker Marcus Rashford bent in a wonder goal against West Ham. Rashford scored his sixth goal in 11 games, last night, to help United to the FA Cup semi-finals. The result eased the pressure on Louis van Gaal after their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, on Sunday. Post-match, van Gaal cut a cheerful figure as he looked forward to a last four clash with Everton at Wembley Stadium. That's not to say he went easy on every journalist: https://twitter.com/JohnBrewinESPN/status/720496766269988864 Van Gaal also revealed what was going through his head when Rashford took on a pass from Anthony Martial and bamboozled the Hammers defence. He commented:
"I was on the bench behind where he was shooting from and I saw the [top] corner of the goal. I thought 'You have to shoot now'. And he did it."
Rashford shot, he scored. It was enough to lure van Gaal off his bench for a celebration.
