Ah, shit... Brendan Rodgers - surprise, surprise - likes Ashley Williams' character. He's a real leader. The Swansea centre back was an everpresent under Brodge at the Liberty Stadium and the former Liverpool boss revealed on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football that he tried to bring the Welsh man to Anfield. Yep, he might've split opinion but the Northern Irish man was settling into punditry nicely in the end. Williams scored the only goal in a crucial win for the Swans over Watford and Rodgers was full of praise for the player who Jamie Carragher agreed should be playing at one of the top clubs.
