This is how a national anthem is supposed to be sang. This is how a nation is supposed to feel. United, excited, proud. Chile's rendition of their powerful national anthem at this evening's Copa America final was absolutely hair-raising. Playing in front of their home crowd against the might of Argentina in the competition decider, the team, the crowd and the entire country sent out a resounding message to the world that they are here and they are proud. The version starts off great, it gets even better and, then, when the band stops and thousands of Chileans belt out the rest of the anthem on their own, it really is just magic.
