As Barcelona arrived in Japan to take part in the Club World Cup, there was a noticeable disparity in certain players' popularity.
Throngs of Japanese stars lined the streets to get a glimpse of some of their Barca heroes but, unfortunately, Thomas Vermaelen wasn't in high demand.
The Belgian defender was met with deathly silence as he walked before the massive crowd before Andres Iniesta followed to a deafening chant of his name.
You'd have to feel for Vermaelen. After all his terrible luck with injuries and now he can't even get a simple selfie request.
Shocking!
