We were so caught up watching Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher complete their typically in-depth breakdown of games that we skimmed over this gem.
After the pair finished talking about Arsenal's 3-1 victory over Hull on Monday night, they started discussing the legacy of certain shirt numbers. And as Neville began listing some of the great players who wore the number 7 jersey at Manchester United - including George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo - Carragher cheekily suggested that Michael Owen ought to be make the list. Raucous laughter ensued and host Ed Chamberlin even struggled to keep a straight face at the mention of Owen's name among those United legends. Who doesn't love a joke at Michael Owen's expense?
