Video: Fans riot at Russian League match between Arsenal Tula and Torpedo Moscow

Homesport

Anyone else think it wouldn't be the end of the world to miss out on the 2018 World Cup?

Fans of Arsenal Tula and Torpedo Moscow were involved in violent clashes after hosts Tula lost 3-1 yesterday. Fair play to the supporter bravely trying to protect a fallen comrade in the face of some frankly brutal assaults. It's just the latest problem to dog Russian football as they continue their preparations to host the sport's showpiece event in 2018. Racist abuse from the stands remains a serious ongoing issue, with Torpedo themselves recently forced to play two games behind closed doors for chants directed at Zenit St Petersburg star Hulk.
