Now new footage taken from the stands behind the goal proves Neymar's claims that Lionel Messi's touch to his left was indeed meant for the Brazilian, and not Luis Suarez, who instead leapt on the opportunity and fired the ball home.
The video shows Neymar loitering outside the D behind Messi, before launching into a well-timed charge towards the spot where the Argentine played the ball.
