Dortmund players hung around after full time this afternoon to celebrate their victory with the fans and not one soul was leaving the Signal Iduna Park.
The club have found themselves in a sticky situation this season, rooted in the relegation zone for much of it, but the support from the terraces has never wavered and the players and fans shared a touching moment today.
Jurgen Klopp's men defeated Revierderby rivals, Schalke, 3-0 in a win that took them the whole way up to ninth place in the Bundesliga table and the team stayed behind afterwards to thank the support.
Naturally, the ridiculously loyal Dortmund fans didn't go anywhere either as they all stayed on, waved flags, sang songs and applauded the very men they have stuck by through thick and thin.
This is what it means to be part of this club.

And the club even fitted in a nice tribute to Leonard Nimoy who passed away yesterday. The scoreboard read in German his famous Mr Spock line, "live long and prosper."
