Pit them with opponents like Real Madrid, the most successful club in Europe, the same side that beat them in the final two years and, oh yeah, their fiercest rivals from the across the same city. Give it a circumstance like losing for most of the match and bagging an equaliser with just over 10 minutes to go. Then you have scenes. Scenes of sheer joy, scenes of pure emotion. 22-year-old Belgian Yannick Carrasco was the hero of normal time as he equalised for Atleti and forced 30 extra minutes of a tense Champions League final.
