Unbelievable.
We don't blame the Accrington Stanley players for surrounding the referee one bit. The League Two club scored what looked to be a perfectly good goal against AFC Wimbledon yesterday, but if you listen closely you can hear the distinctive peep of the whistle just as the ball hits the back of the net. Referee Trevor Kettle decided to call time on the first half at the worst possible moment, leaving furious Accrington players needing to be pushed away from the official by members of the backroom team.
