While club football is off the agenda in many countries this week, it isn't in Ireland or Brazil. Not only do we have the big Dublin derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohs this Friday in Tallaght, we also had the goal of the league of Ireland season so far this week, via Greg Bolger of St Pat's.
The Wexford man's 40-yard effort was very sweet indeed but we think a goal scored in Brazil last night was even better.
Palmeiras beat Sao Paulo last night and it was an eventful affair. Sao Paulo had two men sent off and Robinho (not that one) scored a truly stunning goal after just three minutes.
We've seen goalkeepers beaten from distance after leaving their goal line before but we have never seen them beaten by a shot that spun so high, dipping perfectly just in time to go under the crossbar.
