#MUFC close to signing Victor Valdes on 2-yr deal. Raises very obvious questions about future of De Gea (whose contract expires June 2016)
— Oliver Kay (@OliverKayTimes) January 7, 2015
And the 32-year-old free agent has apparently impressed the United boss enough to be offered the chance to compete with David de Gea for a starting place.
Valdes will reportedly sign with the Red Devils until the end of the 2015-16 season which paves the way for current goalkeeping understudies, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos, to leave the club in their pursuit of first team football.
