US company’s computer simulation predicts misery for Manchester United and Liverpool fans

Champions League? Computer says no.

American company Stats have simulated every remaining league fixtures 10,000 times in order to predict the final standings on May 15, the Sun reports. The results don't make for very pleasant reading for Manchester United, Liverpool and as expected, Chelsea fans. According to the results, Arsenal are the most likely to win their first league title since 2004. The simulation gave the Gunners a 45.3 percent chance of winning the league, seeing them narrowly edge out Manchester City with 42.3 percent. It's also good news for Leicester City fans as the computer predicts they will qualify for the Champions League Group qualifying stage in fourth place, but they are only given a 4.4 percent chance of winning the title outright. Tottenham Hotspur are predicted to take the third spot. 10,000 simulations estimate that Manchester United will come agonisingly close to beating Leicester to that last Champions League spot, but will fall short by 2 points. Liverpool are predicted to finish sixth. Norwich, Sunderland and Aston Villa are expected to be relegated. Final 2015/16 Premier League Table (as simulated by Stats):
