When you look back, we've had some fairly cracking players over the past few decades.
Ireland's 'Senior International Player of the Year' has been in place since 1989 - in between our first appearances at major tournaments [Euro '88 and Italia '90].
Over the past 27 years, the award has been shared by 21 players. There was no award handed out in 2003, oddly enough.
Wes Hoolahan has yet to receive the accolade but we reckon he has a few years in him yet.
