Footage of Trent Alexander-Arnold claiming that one of his England teammates didn't want to take a penalty has gone viral.
Alexander-Arnold tucked home the winning spot kick to send England through to the semi finals of Euro 2024 on Saturday.
England had to do it the hard way again after going a goal behind in the 75th minute when Breel Embolo tucked home a low-driven cross.
The Three Lions weren't behind for long though as Bukayo Saka then cut in from the right-hand side before unleashing a fierce effort to bring England level again.
Extra time proved to be a cagey affair with neither side going too attacking out of fear of losing.
Penalties used to be England's kryptonite but after shaking off those demons in previous tournaments it was their turn to look cool and calm, slotting home all five of their spot-kicks.
Manuel Akanji's miss proved to be the difference in the end as Alexander-Arnold was the one to seal the Three Lions' place in the last four, where they will play the Netherlands in Dortmund on Wednesday.
As is customary with any game the England players then went to speak to friends, family and loved ones and footage of Alexander-Arnold's conversation was shared online in which he appeared to claim that one of his teammates didn't want to take a penalty.
"'He didn't want to take one'. I wonder who that was about?" the caption said.
Meanwhile Gareth Southgate will now have fresh decisions to make about his team for Wednesday.
Alexander-Arnold will be one of those in contention and now that Luke Shaw has made his first appearance of the tournament, there will be hopes he can feature from the off after he gave some much-needed balance to the left hand side of the pitch.
Marc Guehi may not also be guaranteed an instant pass back into the starting XI following Ezri Konsa's impressive display.
Question marks over Harry Kane's fitness will also be raised after he clattered into Southgate before being substituted off - clearly not looking 100 per cent.
Ivan Toney impressed and looked as cool as a cucumber when converting from the penalty spot in the shootout.
By reaching the semi finals, it's the first time since 1980 that England have reached the last four in back-to-back European championships.
