Manchester United have gone a whole three days without signing someone it seems, but things may crank up again next week. After a spending spree at the beginning of July, Louis Van Gaal seems to be playing the long game with a few more of his targets at the moment. But he may have to move quick if he is to snap up Barcelona winger Pedro before Chelsea steal him to London. According to the Daily Mirror the player, who could be available for around £22million, is actively looking to leave the Camp Nou after a frustrating season last term when he started fewer games then he had ever before at the club. Elsewhere another Old Trafford target has put the squeeze on his club to get his future sorted out one way or another before the end of his summer holidays. According to the Independent Valencia are due back for pre-season training on the 27th of July, and Nicolas Otamendi wants to now if he'll be picking up new gear there, or should he get some new Manchester United clobber to try on. The defender is believed to be highly rated by Louis Van Gaal and could be available for a fee of around £35million. However any move for him will all depend on if the ideal for Sergio Ramos falls apart or comes together over the coming weeks A defender who will cost much less but still isn't cheap could be our own Robbie Brady. According to this morning's Daily Mirror the left-back is set to leave Hull to link up with Wes Hoolahan at Norwich. Steve Bruce has already rejected several bids for the player, but it's understood a fee of around £7million could tempt the Tigers to sell-up. Staying with Irish men and Everton have once again rejected any speculation linking James McCarthy with a move from Goodison Park. According to the Daily Star the midfielder will not be leaving Merseyside despite rumours of a possible move to  Tottenham or Manchester City. And Martinez has also ruled out a move for Manchester United defender Jonny Evans. However Cheslea may test the Merseyside's club's resolve with a £20million bid for John  Stones. According to the Daily Mirror Jose Mourinho sees the young England man as the ideal long-term replacement for John Terry. Both Manchester clubs are also understood to be interested, but are yet to make a bid with the Premier League champions likely to retrun with an improved offer this week.
