James Milner has it sussed. After setting a new Premier League record this season for running the furthest, he's not eyeing up a number of clubs as his contract runs down at Manchester City. The 29-year-old is demanding a new four-year deal at the club but bosses at the Ethiad are reluctant to splash out on the former Newcastle man.
If he doesn't sign on the dotted line then, according to the Sunday Mirror, a number of Premier League sides will look to tempt him with a deal, including Liverpool and Arsenal. He might also be reunited with his old boss, Roberto Mancini, as Inter Milan are also sniffing around.
If Louis van Gaal is to splash out out on a number of players this summer then it seems a few will have to head for the exit door and one of those unfortunates could be Juan Mata. The Spain star has failed to live up to his almost €50milion price tag since his move to Manchester last season and is now seen as surplus to requirements at the club.
The winger, who signed from Chelsea in January of 2014, is linked with a move back to La Liga and to Atletico Madrid.
According to The Sun, the schemer may be given a cut-price move back to Spain in order to get him off the wage bill at Old Trafford, where he has seen his career stall somewhat in the last six months, while his place in the international squad is now also under threat.
Romelu Lukaku has, it's fair to say, failed to live up to his €37million move from Chelsea to Everton and two Premier League rivals are wiling to take him off their hands.
The striker has looked disinterested for most of the season and last week was reported to have said he wants to quit the club. According to today's Daily Mail that has alerted West Ham and Tottenham, who think they could give him a kick-start after his loan spell at Everton last season was very impressive.
He's also linked to move back to German side Wolfsburg but seemingly has ruled out a move back to Chelsea.
