According to the Telegraph, Manchester United are set to announce the signature of Paul Pogba before the deal is even complete. "United are expected to publicly announce they have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Pogba before the France midfielder undergoes a medical and puts pen to paper on a contract," the report reads.
Elsewhere, Ciaran Clark looks set to get a move away from Aston Villa but, in an indifferent turn of events, it is to fellow Championship club Newcastle. The Magpies are said to be in talks with the Irish international after activating his £5m release clause. Villa, of course, happy enough in the knowledge that Joleon Lescott is still at the club. After Wes Hoolahan signed a new contract with the Canaries, the Championship outfit are set to lose their other Irish gem who is attracting interest from Everton according to an increasing number of outlets. More spurious sources are linking the Dubliner with a move to West Brom as well but one thing is certain and that is Robbie Brady deserves a big move.
