It wouldn't be Transfer Talk without Manchester United being linked with mega deal, and today the Old Trafford club are being linked with a £60 million move for Edinson Cavani. According to The Daily Star, the PSG striker is available for transfer, after failing to settle in Zlatan Ibrahimovic's shadow at the Ligue 1 club, and United are willing to meet the club's valuation.
Cavani was previously linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2013, before he joined PSG, and the move for him this summer will spell the end of Radamel Falcao's time in Manchester.
A Daily Star 'source' said: 'Edinson Cavani has been targeted as the big-name striker the club wants and United are confident of pulling it off. He has not settled in Paris and is looking for a new challenge at another big club, so United fit the bill'.
Another Premier League side on the hunt for a striker this summer will be Arsenal. The Daily Mail reported that the Gunners will make a move for Jackson Martinez, after Arsene Wenger was quoted saying how much he admires the Porto striker.
Wenger said that Martinez has 'top physical strengths' and is 'hugely efficient'.
'He is the kind of player who can make room for himself in the box. He could play in the Premier League because he has the body to make the difference. He uses it in a very intelligent way'.
'Very short back lift and he's a very good finisher. He's on the list of many clubs, you know that. He will be the next big transfer who will give a big smile to Pinto da Costa (Porto's owner).'
The 28 year old Colombian international has scored an impressive 85 goals in 120 games since joining Porto in 2012.
