Set pieces, defensive solidity and club baseball caps are just three things that the West Bromwich Albion manager would admit to truly adoring.
But, more than anything, Pulis loves what he knows which will make it all the less surprising to learn that he's returned to a former player at the very death on Transfer Deadline Day.
Pulis has brought in Republic of Ireland international Marc Wilson on loan from Bournemouth until the end of the season as he looks to shore up his back four.

Wilson became a stalwart for Pulis at Stoke City, having moved from Portsmouth to the Britannia Stadium in 2010.
The defender only joined Bournemouth in August but has failed to play a single Premier League minute for the Cherries since the move.
He should expect more playing time in the coming months under Pulis, who trusts the versatile defender implicitly.
"Marc can play anywhere across the back line and in midfield as well and he's got that experience as well that gives us that cover," Pulis told the Birmingham Mail.
"I had him at Stoke for a while.
"He can play in any of those positions and will give us that cover that I hope to god we don't need, but we might need."
