Nice work if  you can get it.

Tim Howard will join MLS franchise Colorado Rapids in the summer, after nine years with Everton. After watching his performances for the past few seasons with the Toffees, you'd be forgiven for thinking there wasn't exactly a stampede to sign up the American goalkeeper. However, it turns out someone still rates Howard, because he's set to become not only the highest earning goalkeeper in the MLS, but will reportedly be paid more than every other keeper in the league combined. https://twitter.com/kaustin01/status/711608988706582528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Howard will be a designated player with Colorado, meaning he's paid outside the franchise's capped wage bills. Designated players tend to be attackers or midfielders, such as Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard, Andrea Pirlo, Frank Lampard, or Kaka -  hence the generous standard of defending throughout the league.
