With an average age of 22 - 21 for their outfield players - United are down to their bare bones with Sean Goss and Marcus Rashford in line for Premier League debuts if they're called upon by their manager.
Louis van Gaal went with Ashley Young at full back instead of maybe opting for Matteo Darmian and holding Young in reserve. As it is, it looks like Andreas Pereira - who has played just one league game for the club - would be their only option of changing the game if needed in London with United holding four defensive players in reserve.
Their substitutes have just 61 league appearances between the seven of them. Four of them haven't even reached five games yet.
Here's the bench - the Manchester United bench - for the Watford game with their age and league appearances for United so far.
Sergio Romero (28) - 4 games
Marcos Rojo (25) - 27 games
Matteo Darmian (25) - 11 games
Paddy McNair (20) - 17 games
Sean Goss (19) - 0 games
Andreas Pereira (19) - 1 game
Marcus Rashford (18) - 0 games
