Let there be no doubt about it. Football fans simply do not want half-and-half memorabilia.

It makes sense that die-hard supporters wouldn't want a rival club's colours on any merchandise from a game, which goes some way to explaining the scorn that shows up online each and every time a half-and-half shirt goes viral for its sheer unsightliness. Last year, Manchester City's official Twitter account seemed to take the piss out of a half-and-half scarf ahead of their FA Cup clash with Aston Villa. https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/693435499399233536?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.joe.co.uk%2Fsport%2Fpic-is-manchester-citys-official-twitter-account-taking-the-pss-out-of-half-and-half-scarves-40110 But scarves are the least offensive example of half-and-half merch on the market. It's when jerseys are divided down the middle that fans really get pissed off. https://twitter.com/GRUdynek/status/606902917048758273?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.joe.co.uk%2Fsport%2Fsunderland-fan-takes-half-and-half-shirts-to-a-new-level-pic-15046 https://twitter.com/Full_KitWanker/status/720604243984572418?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.joe.co.uk%2Fsport%2Fthe-liverpooldortmund-love-in-has-finally-gone-too-far-with-these-half-and-half-shirt-52786 https://twitter.com/DaOneToFollow/status/658271113433116672?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.joe.co.uk%2Fsport%2Fthe-half-and-half-jokers-were-out-in-force-on-sunday-21298 Only three months ago, we saw St-Etienne go one step further by attempting the unthinkable with a clock. https://twitter.com/AdeBezzina/status/834414069167820800?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.joe.co.uk%2Fsport%2Fhalf-and-half-football-merchandise-reached-a-new-nadir-at-st-etienne-v-man-utd-114340 First scarves. Then jerseys. Then bloody clocks!!! What could possibly come next? Well those in attendance for this Saturday's FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea will be "thrilled" to learn that a commemorative half-and-half flag for supporters will be waiting for them under their seats. Nice touch, right? https://twitter.com/JamesOlley/status/867749303875448832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thesun.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2F3652210%2Farsenal-chelsea-fans-outrage-half-and-half-flag-fa-cup-final%2F It will shock you to your very core to learn that those who intend to attend the match at Wembley were not entirely convinced by the gesture.
