Theo Walcott says Arsene Wenger and Sam Allardyce are on ‘completely different levels’ as managers

Everton winger Theo Walcott has said that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Everton boss Sam Allardyce are on 'completely different levels in the way they manage'.

Walcott spent 12 years at Arsenal under Wenger before leaving the club for Everton in January. The England international scored the only goal in the Toffees 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday night and after the game Walcott was asked what were the differences between Wenger and his current manager Sam Allardyce.

"They’re on completely different levels of the way they manage. I think everyone can tell that," said Walcott. "Arsene is a fantastic man, a fantastic manager. "I can’t thank him enough for what he did for me at such a young age to have that faith in me. "Now I’m here with Sam and again he’s shown so much faith in me. I just want to repay that to him personally and this team. I want to work hard. The team and myself worked really hard tonight."

Walcott also singled out Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman for praise who he said was the first man you think of when you think of Everton. "He's played at the highest level for so long," Walcott told Sky Sports after the match. "He's a fantastic professional and a great character in the dressing room. When you think of Everton he's the first man you think about."
