The were some bizarre voting patterns for the Ballon d’Or

The voting record for the Ballon d'Or award features some peculiar votes.

Lionel Messi was the best footballer in the world during 2015 right? Well, not according to Scott Brown. The Scotland captain didn't even have the Barcelona genius, who won his fifth Ballon d'Or in Zurich earlier today, in his top three. Brown opted for Robert Lewandowski in first place, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Thomas Muller. Meanwhile, the Pakistan national coach felt Arjen Robben was the best player in the world last year, despite spending the majority of it injured. Karim Benzema is his second choice and Ronaldo is in third.The award is decided by votes from international team captains and coaches, as well as a media representative from the country, and there's traces of what is seemingly bias in a lot of votes. Like for example, Belgium captain Vincent Kompany's trio of Eden Hazard in first place, ahead of Belgian teammate Kevin de Bryune and Lionel Messi.
