Since Xabi Alonso retired from international football last year, Spain have struggled to find a reliable penalty-taker.
Cesc Fabregas took over from the Bayern Munich midfielder as designated spot-kick converter, the only problem is that he's converted precisely zero penalty kicks he's taken outside of shootouts.

Four times Fabregas has placed the ball and picked his spot but not once has he seen the net bulge, with the latest penalty miss taking place in Spain's final Euro 2016 qualifier in Ukraine.
To be fair, pictures have emerged showing that Fabregas had a laser pointed in his eyes as he took the spotter but still, with a record like that it's probably worthwhile giving somebody else the responsibility.
