The stakes are high today in the Premier League following Saturday's exciting afternoon of football which saw Manchester City lose their four game in a row, allowing Liverpool to take a five point lead at the top of the table.
This will prove to be hard a gap to cross for supposed title contenders, Arsenal, who desperately need all three points against Chelsea to keep their title fight alive with a win which would take the Gunners up to two points behind City in second.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be keen to remind people of their position equal on points with Arsenal and in a position to leapfrog their London rivals with a win today when the two go head to head at Stamford Bridge at 16:30.
However, surprise package of the season, Nottingham Forest, will be hoping to have something to say about that third place spot which they currently occupy.
Forest take on fellow pretenders Newcastle today at the City Ground at 14:00.
The other games of the day feature two stumbling top six teams, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, as the they both look to encroach on the European places, sitting in 13th and 9th respectively.
United play Leicester at Old Trafford while Spurs take on Ipswich at home, both kicking off at 14:00.
Leicester and Ipswich will be looking to upset the apple cart and pick up precious points with both sides sitting dangerously low in the table.
