Eddie Howe's side will host Mikel Arteta's Arsenal in the 12.30pm kick off on Saturday.
Newcastle are still without several key players. Kieran Trippier is not expected back for another three weeks while long-term absentees, Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman are not due back until December.
Arsenal are still waiting to hear the extent of Gabriel Magalhaes knee injury.
Gabriel was forced off following a tussle with Darwin Nunez in Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
The Brazilian international felt something in the back of his knee and was replaced a short time later after initially attempting to play on.
He was not in the squad for that took on Preston in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night though Arteta said the injury 'doesn't look that bad'.
The Gunners will also be without William Saliba after he was shown a straight red card in the defeat to Bournemouth and will be suspended until 10 November.
Elsewhere, City travel to Bournemouth for a 3pm kick-off. Pep Guardiola's side will be hoping to bounce back from their Carabao Cup exit after they lost to Tottenham Hotspur.
Ipswich host Leicester while Liverpool take on Brighton as they look to keep pace with league leaders City.
West ham travel to Nottingham Forest and Southampton host Everton as they still search for their first win of the season.
Fellow strugglers Wolves take on Crystal Palace in the 5.30 pm kick off.
