Super Jon Walters should though. The Irish striker has elevated from cult hero to genuine legend. He's one of the country's best players, he delivers in every big game, he holds his nerve and he works harder than any footballer that ever lived. Walters has been tearing it up for Stoke so much that he had their fans this weekend comparing him to Lionel Messi. And proper order too. He'll lead Ireland to Euro 2016 in June as the nation's favourite. Everyone knows they can depend on Super Jonny and the flag that one Irish fan will be waving in France perfectly sums up the love and respect for the big man. This is fitting for Jon Walters.
