The Irish doctor at the centre of the Premier League doping scandal has made a stunning accusation

The plot thickens.

The Sunday Times led with a shocking revelation that Dr. Mark S Bonar, who is believed to be from Dublin, has helped supply PEDS to players at Arsenal, Chelsea, and Leicester City. The players involved are understood to have contacted the doctor outside of their club's knowledge and it was claimed that Bonar has also helped boxers and cyclists with drug enhancements. The newspaper recorded an undercover meeting with Bonar, a Harley Street anti-ageing specialist, in which he claims to have "worked with some high-profile people", including cricketers, boxers, cyclists, martial artists and tennis players, providing drugs such as human growth hormone, EPO, and testosterone. The claims could not be independently verified by The Sunday Times, and Bonar has refuted the claims. "The Sunday Times allegations are false and very misleading. I have never had a relationship with any premier football club or player... I have never prescribed Androgen therapy for the purpose of performance enhancement.. I treat symptomatic men with low Test levels" he tweeted. We are still waiting for confirmation that the tweets are actually from the good doctor himself, but if they are, then the newspaper may have some very serious questions to answer. Chelsea and Arsenal denied any doping incidents at the clubs, while Leicester warned that any transgressions would result in dismissal and Birmingham City, the other club with players implicated by the report, requested more time to respond.
