Real have lined up de Gea as Casillas' replacement. United boss Louis van Gaal, speaking at the end of last season, said he was hopeful that his number one goalkeeper would stay but accepted keeping him in the Premier League would be challenging.
De Gea made his name, in Spain, as a goalkeeper with Real's city rivals, Atletico. RTVE believe De Gea's move will be announced as early as next week. His move to be secured for as little as €27m as he only has/had a year left on his United deal.
