Swansea look to have made one of the signings of the summer in Andre Ayew, with the Ghana striker making a blistering start to his debut season in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has netted three times in his first four games to lift the Swans into the top four to start the campaign, but things could have been oh so different if a report in the Sun is correct.
Ayew joined Swansea on a free transfer but reportedly received a £5million signing bonus in addition to salary in excess of £50,000 per week, but the long-time fan of the Reds is said to have offered his services to Liverpool, with his agents telling the Merseysiders that the player would be happy to accept no salary until January in a bid to prove himself.
Brendan Rodgers and the infamous transfer committee at Anfield turned down the offer, of course.
