Swansea City have been in a poor run of form since beating Manchester United, and it could spell the end for Garry Monk.
Despite leading the Swans to a top-half finish in his first full season, the former club captain is thought to be on the ropes after a run of one win in nine games.
Eight of those fixtures have come in the Premier League, with a win at Aston Villa the only success, as the Welsh club were also knocked out of the League Cup at the hands of Hull City.
The Daily Mirror are reporting that the 36-year-old, who took over from Michael Laudrup in February 2014, has rejected calls from higher-ups at the club to introduce an experienced director of football.
While he is still a relative newcomer to management, Monk is hugely popular with Swansea fans and many are shocked by suggestions that he could be moving on.

But some were more understanding, even if the current run of form could end up being an isolated bad patch.
Swansea are 14th in the table, just five points clear of the relegation zone, and have a potentially crucial meeting with 18th-placed Bournemouth after the international break.
