Study on Premier League’s dirtiest players makes satisfying reading for Roy Keane

Three men top the list for most red cards but a Sunderland player is on course to claim the crown.

On Saturday, Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul was given his marching orders for the sixth time in his Premier League career. The former Spurs man was sent to the stands for two bookable slashes at Bournemouth's Callum Wilson. Kaboul is still two red cards behind the league's notorious leaders - Richard Dunne, Patrick Vieira and Duncan Ferguson. However, research by The Mirror has found that Kaboul is now the league's most ill-disciplined player. The Frenchman has only played 154 league games so gets flashed a red card once in every 25.7 games. That is ahead of John Hartson [25.8], Vinnie Jones [26.3] and Frank Leboeuf [28.8]. Also high up on the 'games per red cards' list are Ferguson [33.6], Lee Cattermole [33.9], Nemanja Vidic [35.2] and Vieira [38.4]. Roy Keane saw red on seven occasions in his league career but is ratio was only one per 52 games.
