A new entrant into the football scarf hall of shame
Stoke entertain Liverpool this afternoon in their opening game of the Premier League, a repeat of the final game of last season, which was, of course, notable for the utter thumping the Potters handed out to Brendan Rodgers' side.
That 6-1 result led many to believe that Rodgers would not be around to start a fourth season at Anfield, but he has survived and as luck would have it, he leads Liverpool back into action at the Britannia Stadium eager to put May's thumping firmly in the rear view.
Naturally, Stoke supporters are eager to remind their rivals of that day, although we can say we approve of the scarves that are on sale outside the ground today...
