Steven Gerrard watches yet another Rangers player get sent off

Could we see another appeal from Steven Gerrard?

Gerrard has yet to watch his Rangers side finish a Scottish Premiership game with 11 men because, for the second week in a row, he's seen his team reduced to ten. Rangers decided to appeal the very harsh red card which was flashed at Alfredo Morelos last week for what appeared to be a relatively innocuous off-the-ball incident in a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen and it was ultimately rescinded and reduced to a yellow. Seven days later, Gerrard had to shake his head while one of his players made his way towards an early bath as Ross McCrorie saw red for a foul on the edge of his own box in Rangers' clash with St. Mirren. After being deemed the last man, the defensive midfielder was given his marching orders on the half-hour mark, with Gers leading 2-0. This weekend's dismissal is a lot more open to interpretation than last week's because plenty of supporters insist that there was cover running in behind McCrorie when he made contact. https://twitter.com/footballchat_/status/1028650992915689473 Considering the fact that there is some room for debate, it wouldn't be any bit surprising to see Rangers and Gerrard lodge their second appeal in a week in the hope that the decision is overturned. Gerrard laid into officials' treatment of his new club last weekend, claiming that "the world was against us" but we can likely expect a more considered response in the wake of his second Scottish Premiership game in charge.

"It's not just today, it's been happening for a while," Gerrard said last week.

"It's been happening for a good while. I believe it's been happening for seasons. That's my opinion, just my opinion.

"I've watched footage, yeah. Look, I don't think we ever get anything to go for us. Everything we have seen today is about Rangers so someone should give me answers on that."
