Steven Gerrard admits there is just one thing he doesn’t miss from the Premier League

The man at the centre of one of the most infamous football chants of recent years is glad to be finally away from the sound of it echoing in his ears.

Steven Gerrard's slip against Chelsea quickly found itself in every football fans songbook as a way to cruelly mock the former Liverpool captain after his tumble in the 2-0 loss to Chelsea helped Manchester City to the title two seasons ago now. But now that the midfielder is living in L.A  he doesn't get to hear it at every week at every away Premier League ground. And unsurprisingly he's not one bit sad about that. “I haven’t missed hearing that old Slip song – but I’m coming back to BT as a pundit as often as I can. I know they’ll put that record on again.”

Gerrard has also revealed that he has no interest in making money from  his image. Robbie Keane's new team-mate thinks that players are just greedy if they are looking to make a quick buck from their faces being plastered on billboards.

"You hear other players talking about image rights and how much it earns them. Personally, I think it’s disgusting for a player to ask for image rights from his club. I believe that when you sign a contract, you sign your image rights over to them. They pay you well, and you’re working for them. Maybe it’s different if you’re Messi or Ronaldo."
