Stephen Quinn admits that his Hull future is uncertain because he wants to ply his trade in the Premier League.
The Republic of Ireland international, who is out of contract at the KC Stadium this month, has deliberately left his decision up in the air so he could concentrate on the Scotland clash this Saturday, but he could be leaving the club.
Hull were relegated from the Premier League last month and, after spending three seasons with the Tigers, Quinn admits that he would like to be in the top flight again next season.
"Obviously it would be great if I was back in the Premier League next season but I have to see over the course of the summer," he spoke after Irish training this afternoon.
“That’s really where I want to ply my trade. And I’m not getting any younger, I’m 29 now. But I still feel fit and healthy and I’ve got a lot of football in me so we’ll see.
“My agent is speaking to people but I don’t really find out until after this weekend. I’d rather sit down after the Scotland game and discuss my future with my agent and see what happens."
Quinn played a big part of Ireland's crucial results away in Georgia and Germany at the start of the campaign but he has found international game time of late more difficult to come by. And playing in the Premier League could be a factor in deciding his club future.
“Maybe so," he said. "I think the manager [Martin O'Neill] has shown that he trusts and believes in me so I just keep working hard and training here.
“I just left it to my agent and the club to speak to each other. It was more important for me to concentrate on this game, it’s such a massive, massive game. So I’m going to sit down next week with my agent and then speak to Hull and come to some sort of a decision."
