Stephen Kenny has a pretty good idea on what to spend Dundalk’s Europa League winnings

Dundalk are raking in the Europa League takings and have already make quit a bit of Champions Cup change.

Stephen Kenny's men are still in with a shout of making their lucrative season even better by reaching the knock-out stages of the Europa League. Were they to do so, they could net in the region of €2 million extra. While most managers would identify a heap of new players with Dundalk's hard-earned bounty, Kenny's ambition will hearten the club's supporters. He told Off The Ball:

"Our stadium is antiquated and it is a bit of a shock for people that come to Oriel Park if they have never been before. They're like 'Is this where the League of Ireland champions play?' "The priority would be to either update Oriel Park or move. The board will make the decision on that but I think upgrading the facilities is a huge thing. "The club has a great opportunity to do that and that would be the main priority. There has to be some sort of legacy [from our cup run] in that regard."

Kenny did point out that there are some disadvantages to club's running a ground - primarily costs - and mentioned Shamrock Rovers and Cork City as two clubs that have benefited from leasing or renting stadiums. "I think the club will spend the money wisely," he concluded.
