When you think of pacy right backs, you'd be led to believe that Arsenal's Hector Bellerin, Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne or Manchester United's makeshift full-back Antonio Valencia would top the list.
Well you'd be wrong. Apparently last weekend, it was West Ham's on-loan defender Carl Jenkinson who matched the fastest speed recorded by any player in the Premier League this season.
The right back, on loan from Arsenal, reached a speed of 35.3 km/h during the Hammers' 0-0 draw with QPR at the weekend according to stats from PremierLeague.com.
That pace equaled that of Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko who clocked up 35.3 km/h earlier this season.
The fastest five recorded speeds of the campaign thus far are.
1. Carl Jenkinson - 35.3 km/h2. Moussa Sissoko - 35.3 km/h3. Moussa Sissoko (again) - 35.2 km/h4. Leandro Bacuna - 35.2 km/h5. Wilfried Zaha - 35.2 km/h
