A Spanish football referee has been accused by a female player of having asked her out on a date in a recent game.
Elena Pavel, who plays for Sporting Huelva, made a complaint about the behaviour of referee Santiago Quijada Alcon in the match against Santa Teresa.

Pavel alleges that Alcon said: "Hey brown-hair - let's get coffee this afternoon."
Pavel rebuffed the approach, telling Alcon that he "better stick to blowing your whistle."
Spanish outlet EFEgot a hold of Pavel after the game where she explained how she had been affected by the incident.
“I’ve stopped believing in football, in fair play,” she said.
"I feel helpless, humiliated. In the many years I’ve been playing football I’ve never felt so ashamed."
