Lampard will start by appearing on Sky's Champions League coverage later this month
Last week, Jose Mourinho threw his toys out of the pram over a certain Sky pundit who he felt had an agenda against Diego Costa and Chelsea in general. He then followed up this by refusing to talk to Sky last Saturday before and after the massive meeting of the top two, Chelsea and Manchester City, live on Sky.
Jose returned to press duties yesterday, though he was admittedly as prickly as we've ever seen him. However, it seems that a friendly face is on its way into the Sky punditry box.
Today's Mail report that Frank Lampard is being lined up as their next big name signing. The former Chelsea man will appear on Sky's Champions League coverage later this month and the station want to take him on full-time when he retires.
That may be a way off yet as he is due in the US to start work for his new club New York City in July but if Jose can hang on, he may have a man who he feels has his back in the studio at last.
