Shamrock Rovers were victorious in the big derby on Friday night at Tallaght stadium on Friday night. They claimed a 2-1 victory over bitter rivals Bohemians and we could not be more thankful that the game was televised. To say that the first half was forgetful would be the understatement of the century. There was a distinct lack of clear-cut chances in the early stages, but the goals started coming after the break. Brandon Miele and Michael O'Connor fired Rovers into a 2-0 lead while a late goal from Georgie Poynton ensured it was an exciting finish.
