He told Real fans, after penning a new contract, that he never really wanted to leave.

De Gea will return to Manchester, later this month, after his spot of international duty with Spain.
He had the suit bought for his Real Madrid presentation. It was supposed to happen at 1pm [Spanish time] on Tuesday but
his intended couldn't get the paperwork through in time.
De Gea declined to talk to the collected media, last night, as he reported to the Spanish national team.

The defender added, 'The world of football and signings is like this. Everyone tries to get the most and this is never easy for any player.
'He has had a bumpy summer because he has decided his future and that of his family. But it is something we have to go through at times, everyone has to understand the facts and do their best wherever they are.'
