Seamus Coleman makes generous donation to help young Irish lad in need of life-changing surgery

Captain, leader, legend.

Seamus Coleman has made a very generous donation to a fund aiming to help a young lad from Sligo walk independently. Rory Gallagher is four-years-old and has cerebral palsy, a condition that affects motor function and body movement. When he was eight months old, Rory's parents were told he wouldn't be able to walk or talk. He has proved doctors wrong by learning to speak, and now needs to undergo surgery in the United States to have a chance of walking independently. Such operations don't come cheap, but thanks to the Republic of Ireland captain, Rory's family is €5,000 closer to making it happen. capture-20160925-160522 https://twitter.com/roryswishtowalk/status/780054430536372225 Coleman made the donation on Sunday afternoon, but the family still need €65,000 to reach their required target of €80,000.
