Coleman was tagged on Twitter in an attempt to drum support for the fundraising efforts in recent days, and instead of just matching the target of £1000 for the trip to Merseyside for Daire and his family to watch the Toffees in action, he has helped donate five times as much.
His efforts have been widely praised this afternoon.
