When it was announced that Scott Hogan declared for Ireland there was a bit of hope amongst fans or the Boys in Green.
Jonathan Walters and Shane Long aren't getting any younger, in fact Walters misses out on the squad, but with Hogan and Preston's Sean Maguire it looks like we're in a safe pair of hands.
Martin O'Neill named his provisional squad to face Moldova and Wales with both players included although it will have to be narrowed down come game day.
