Ryan Sessegnon has become the first player from outside of the top-flight to receive a nomination for PFA Young Player award.
The Fulham star has been nominated for the award along with Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
Dele Alli won the award in 2016 and 2017 but hasn't been nominated this season.

Since the award was first handed out, nominees have only come from top-flight clubs. Sessegnon is the first to break this trend and his performances for Fulham show why. The 17-year-old has scored 14 goals and registered six assists for the London club in 42 Championship games this season.
After breaking into the team as a left-back, Sessegnon has been deployed in a forward position recently and Fulham have reaped the dividends. They started the weekend in second-place and look on course for a playoff spot at least this season.
While it looks to be only a matter of time before Sessegnon is playing in the Premier League. The 17-year-old has been linked with transfers to several top-flight clubs, from Tottenham to Manchester United.
His performances have been so good this season, BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson claims that he should be part of England's World Cup squad.
